ALC-1021: The Erie Canal Lap Book Project
*200th Anniversary Project*
Fifteen miles on the Erie Canal… Two hundred years ago ground was broken on the Erie Canal. Known as “Clinton’s Big Ditch,” it took some time before the importance of this waterway connecting the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Lakes was fully appreciated. This pop-up lap booking project is a great way to review what has since been remembered as one of the great engineering accomplishments of early U.S. History.
